What is our focus?
The Early Modern Studies module: Diplomatics – Administration – Sources focuses on understanding and documenting the administrative and diplomatic environment within the Cisleithanian part of the Habsburg Monarchy, with particular attention to Moravia as a historical region in the early modern period. Research is centred on reconstructing the network of administrative units in Moravia, characterizing and identifying the types of documents produced by these institutions, recording normative regulations, and, last but not least, critically editing and making selected important legal norms accessible.
