The Codex diplomaticus et epistolaris regni Bohemiae department
“The reliable and critical publication of Medieval sources does not lose its appeal, even in the era of digitalization - in fact the opposite: it is with the connection of the virtual image of the source with a written document presenting its content that we shift the borders of our knowledge of the remnants of our ancient past.”

Our research objectives
The Codex diplomaticus et epistolaris regni Bohemiae department focuses on making critically available any sources relating to the administration of the Czech state from its beginnings to 1310. Its current role is to prepare for publication the VII volume with material from the time of the rule of the Czech kings Wenceslas II (1285-1305) and Wenceslas III (1305-1306).
